Here we thought we would give you some valuable links to construction design and construction law. The requirements for structural and civil engineering and construction law are constantly changing so it is wise to keep up-to-date as best you can.
The most important development, in our view, in the past few years has been the introduction of the Eurocodes and the trend towards construction adjudication. The Eurocodes are now superseding the earlier British Standards (but by all means not all) and adjudication is a must in many construction contracts, subject to some limitations.
The Eurocodes have encouraged the use of automated design, and adjudication has become more complicated as it has developed, but does help with its quicker decision making process for disputes when compared to litigation or arbitration.
